On behalf of the Belle Point Quilters Guild in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the review on Teresa’s presentation in April 2023 is 5 stars. Informative, engaging, concise and superbly well presented. We look forward to having her back with us in the future!
I recently attended a lecture presented by Teresa Duryea Wong discussing the parallels between Modern Art and Antique Quilts. It was fascinating, informative and I really enjoyed Teresa’s presentation style and the compelling subject matter!

I attended your QuiltCon lecture – “Hello Modern Art, Meet Antique Quilts” and it was so informative. Your examples were clear, your alignment of specific paintings and painters with traditional quilt patterns truly illustrated your premise. It was IMO one of the BEST experiences I had at the show.

When the Canadian Quilters Association advertised your lecture on Native American Quilts I couldn’t wait to attend. It was most interesting and very eye opening. The 8-point Morning Star has never been a favourite of mine but now knowing it’s history I appreciate the deep meaning and love it has for First Nations people. I hope this leads you to publishing a book on Native American Quilts.

Your extensive years of travel, research and writings and your familiarity with Zoom made this an especially rich experience. We have received only positive feedback from our members and would recommend this lecture to other quilt guilds.

What a great presentation we enjoyed last evening. Lots of good comments. I was in awe of the expertise of the quilters you featured.

Thank you for your wonderful presentation to our Durham-Orange Quilters Guild last night. Your knowledge and passion for Japanese Quilts was inspiring, thought provoking, and entertaining. I loved how, even in our North Carolina Guild, there were those whose own personal stories connected with the Japanese fabrics, quilts, and people. You took us beyond our current home-bound state to another whole world of quilting.
Diane T. Asbill, President, Durham-Orange Quilters Guild
I wanted to thank you for the incredible lecture and slide presentation at our meeting on Saturday! Our members loved it, and we got lots of positive feedback. It was also a really interesting departure from the usual topics we cover at our guild meetings. Thank you again for your professionalism, expertise, and great style.

How fascinating was our cotton farm zoom speaker tonight??? I already went and found some yardage of the American Made Brand cotton fabric to try out because of the presentation.
Enjoyed the lecture very much and liked how she knew how to use the zoom technology effectively. Very interesting program!
Really enjoyed the presentation! She was very knowledgeable and definitely knew how to use zoom. I’m all in favor of using zoom meetings until we can get together!
I enjoyed the presentation and thought she had a well-researched briefing.
I really liked the briefing and found the information very interesting.

Thank you for a WONDERFUL presentation last night. I’ve received a lot of positive feedback about it. I have a degree in textiles and I’m a bit biased about the subject, so I was glad others enjoyed it too.

I can’t thank you enough. This was such a polished and informative talk. You brought us into a world beyond our immediate scope. I look forward to continuing to know you and follow your work. Perhaps another lecture can be in our future.
